Cephalexin is contra-indicated in patients with known allergy to the cephalosporin group of antibiotics. Cephalexin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. Cephalexin is indicated in the treatment of the following infections due to susceptible micro-organisms respiratory tract infections, bone infections, acute prostatitis and some dental infections.
